Diet Tips to Cure Acidity & Indigestion

Acidity and Indigestion are very common ailments. Burning in the chest or chest pain or discomfort in the upper chest are some of the common complaints of Acidity.

Indigestion occurs when excess stomach acid comes in contact with the sensitive linings of the stomach.

Most of the time, people ignore these symptoms because the discomfort is usually just temporary.

We frequently reply only when the situation becomes intolerable. But it is important to understand that you endanger your health if you do not seek treatment for digestive issues.

Acid reflux illness is a common disorder that affects many people (ADR).

Acidity is "diarrhea induced by irritation of the food pipe wall owing to stomach acid or bile." Heartburn is a burning sensation in the chest, stomach, and throat, frequently caused by excess acidity. However, regular heartburn (two or more times per week) may indicate a more serious illness, such as Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).

Several factors, such as a sedentary lifestyle and improper eating habits, might lead to acidity and such issues . In addition, obesity, stress, smoking, excessive alcohol use, and long-term use of certain medicines, such as painkillers or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, may contribute to additional digestive problems.

Here are some tips that might help you in dealing with acidity and Indigestion issues.

Cinnamon

This modest spice helps relax your stomach by boosting digestion and absorption.

Ginger is anti-inflammatory and digestive. Ginger neutralizes stomach acids; chew a piece, drink ginger juice twice a day, or simmer fresh ginger in hot water.

Licorice or Mulethi

Mulethi tea is especially beneficial as it helps in healing the mucous lining of the stomach

Saunf or Fennel seeds

Saunf or Fennel seeds can really help in curing digestive issues. Having a saunf tea ( made with just saunf and water ) post-lunch or late afternoon can be helpful in such cases.
